Ota Akhigbe
- Designation Director, Partnerships & Programs
- Organisation eHealth Africa
Ota Akhigbe is the Director, Partnerships & Programs at eHealth Africa, where she leads strategic partnerships, resource mobilisation, and portfolio architecture across a pan-African portfolio spanning public health emergency management, disease surveillance, laboratory systems, primary healthcare strengthening, and climate-health resilience. Her work sits at the intersection of capital, governance, and delivery - with governments, multilaterals, foundations, and institutional funders reshaping how African health systems are built.
Earlier, as Focal Lead of the Adopt-A-Healthcare Facility Programme at the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria, she mobilised approximately US$11.5M in commitments for national primary healthcare revitalisation - including the renovation of 52 primary healthcare centres, with pilot facilities recording up to an 1,820% increase in skilled births against baseline.
She is known for translating complex, multi-stakeholder relationships into durable institutional outcomes, and for the conviction that systems should still work after the project ends.
